Madidi National Park is one of the largest and richest in biodiversity in both flora and fauna of the world, ranging from the Andes to the Amazon jungle. Une diverse habitats and climates, from snow-capped peaks, mountain forests, savannahs and tropical forests.
The Madidi National Park in the northern department of La Paz, is one of the protected areas with the greatest biodiversity in the world. In its more than 18,000 square kilometers consists of a variety of eco-regions ranging from the high Andes to the Amazon rainforest. Although catalogaci6n of flora and fauna is far from over, living here eleven percent of the birds on the planet, more than nine hundred species of mammals, amphibians, reptiles and fish, in addition to nearly five thousand varieties of plants, mosses, ferns and fungi. Therefore, the Madidi is one of the most visited destinations in Bolivia and a reference for environmentalists, biologists and nature throughout the world.
